The reason for 504

Most people's experience of the security industry is being sold something. A product, a contract, a number of guarding hours, then handed on to whoever picks up the account next.

504 was set up to work the other way round. Graeme Young has spent over twenty years in the security industry and the prison service, specialising in intelligence, protective security and advanced behavioural detection. 504 brings those disciplines together in one place. One relationship, one adviser doing the work, and advice that is not for sale to anyone else.

How an engagement works

How we work

  1. A conversation. Fifteen minutes on the phone establishes whether there is a job here and what it looks like.
  2. A site visit. No obligation and no charge. Seeing the premises is the only way to give an opinion worth having.
  3. Findings on the day. You get the headline picture before we leave, not three weeks later.
  4. Written recommendations. Prioritised, plain English, short enough that your board will read it.
  5. Support or delivery. Implementation, training, exercising or frontline deployment, if you want it. If you don't, the engagement ends there and that is a legitimate outcome.
